A Time of Redemption

The time is urgent to pray that our nation turns back to God.

Many are talking about the works of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn regarding pending judgment on the United States and events tied to the year of the Shemitah. To give a context, in his book The Harbinger Cahn writes of 9 judgment warnings that God has given to America and their connection to the fall of ancient IsraelIn the Mystery of the Shemita, Cahn explains that in Jewish culture and faith, while the seventh day of the week is a sabbath and a day of rest, the seventh year was to be a year of rest, no working, and total focus on God. We are coming to an end of a Shemitah year this month.

While Cahn cautions readers not to get too tied into dates of events, because God will act as He chooses, because He is God. In 2001 and 2008, at the end of the Shemitah year, the United States experienced calamities, which were warnings for our nation to turn back to Him.

Why are prayers for our nation and all its citizen’s urgent? We have an opportunity for redemption. That means everyone, even those of us who may go to church, pray and read the Bible. We have an opportunity to pray for all to fall on their knees and worship God rather than whatever gods we put before Him.

Those “gods” could be religiousness, self-righteousness, money, possessions, pride, false humility or any number of things.

Please join me in praying for our nation, our citizens and our leaders, that we return to the Christian principles on which our nation was founded. That we give God credit for every blessing and give Him full control of our lives.
