Make the Right Declarations

What you say about yourself may seem innocuous. Yet, that isn’t what the Bible says. Sometimes I make jokes about myself and say things I don’t really mean, and yet how much power do those words have?

Proverbs 18:21 says:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

I don’t want to speak death over myself!

In Ezekiel 37, we see how God commanded the prophet to prophesy life and breath into dry bones.

I believe we can call on His power to breath life into our lives and into our businesses. A key here is that Ezekiel prophesied as God directed. When we speak declarations into our lives, we need to make sure we are in alignment with God and His plan for us.

Seek Him daily and search deep in His word of the Bible to find what it is He wants you to declare into your life. Filling your mind with Him and what He wants will give you new and enriched perspective.

You Never Walk Alone

Every summer my daughters, who all live out of state, come to visit for a few days. This year the husbands and grand baby came too. There was a LOT of activity in the house compared to the typical quiet with my two dogs. We had wonderful family time.

The last ones to leave were my daughter and her son. When I came home from the airport, the house just felt too quiet. I felt like a part of me had left.

The next morning I woke up the empty house again, missing everyone. The Lord reminded me that I am never alone, that He is always there with me.

Psalms 28:7 says:

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”

He is our strength and always there for us, even when our human support groups are not physically present with us. When you feel lonely, turn to Him, remember He is your strength and shield. You are never alone.
