Worship the Lord with All Your Heart!

Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.  Psalm 29:2

I have found that worshipping God is a key part of my day. If I have concerns in the day, I just give them to God and worship the beauty of His holiness. He’s enthroned in glory, a light much brighter than we can fathom. And yet, he sees everything, no matter how small that you and I are concerned over.

As I’ve said before, that doesn’t mean that life is perfect. As human beings on the earth, our journey will include struggles, imperfections. Some days, I may not feel like worshipping Him, yet, one word of praise seems to open the floodgates! When we focus our eyes on the Lord, life comes into focus, into perspective. Try starting your prayer time with praise and adoration, just telling God who He is and why you love Him so much!

That Praise Tune in Your Head

Ever get an old song stuck in your head? Someone sings or hums it, then it seems you can’t get it off your mind. That’s one of the added values of participating in worship or listening to praise songs. They get stuck in your head. What a great way to go through the day…positive messages of God’s love, grace, greatness or how much you love Him, repeating in your mind. Personally, it puts a smile on my face.

I find the more I express my love and admiration for Him, the more joyful I am. That doesn’t mean that everything always goes the way I want it to, or that I always get my way. Keeping those words of praise in my head just keeps my mindset focused in the right direction. It helps me lift my heart to Him in praise. Lift your heart to Him. He delights in that!

Look Up!

Do you ever find yourself feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges? God never said everything would be easy and perfect, yet focusing on your circumstances can bring you down. When you’re looking down at the dirt, stop, look up. Look into the eyes of your loving Daddy, Jesus, who cherishes you as His own!

Psalms 121:1-2 says it well:

I will lift my eyes to the hills — From whence comes my help? My helps comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Imagine that! The creator of heaven and earth is there waiting for you to turn to Him. He is our help and our provider. When we are down, He wants to lift us up. He wants to fill you with joy in spite of what might be going on in your life. Lift your heart, sing His praises, know that He is there to help you.
