O, the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus

The song, “Oh the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus” was written by London merchant Samuel Trevor Francis in 1875. The lyrics tell of our savior’s unfailing and faithful love for us. You can listen to several renditions of this lovely song on You Tube.

I am particularly taken by these lyrics of the song:

How He watches o’er His loved ones,

Died to call them all His own.

How for them He intercedeth,

Watcheth o’er them from the throne.

Think about what a deep and dear love that is! From His throne in Heaven He watches over us, and intercedes for us. When we feel He is far away, the fact is, He is there, watching and loving us, feeling our pain. A love so deep that He gave His life . . . He is there to take our worry, pain and sorrow.

Ask Him to heal your pain, take your worry and renew your heart. He is waiting for your prayer.
